Coding With Type

Take one of the following headlines. Summarize the article in half the sentances. after that, summarize the summary in 1 sentence. Then, summarize that sentence in three words that are a list. Last, summarize those three words in ONE word that is a hyperlink that is styled with CSS. Present the work in a memette that practices the CSS learned in lecture. Use typography that makes sense with each summary. Include google ads and analytics in the code and post to the blog.

The CSS Stylings of Jason P. (holler?)

Working with what you learned about CSS yesterday, design an infographic in photoshop describing one of the articles provided. Spend no more than 45 minutes on the design. The photoshop file should be PRISTINE (well organized and layered) next, try to recreate your neighbor’s photoshop file in xhtml/css. This is to test how much you’re able to do without assistance.

This is about half of what the original information graph consisted of. It is still missing type, but the containers are what give me the most problems, so I started there. Just after doing this, Ialready feel like I’m getting quicker at coding, and I’m starting to remember what codes do what (instead of having to look back at the lectures as reference). hopefully I can finish this outside of class.

Yeeeeaaaahhh Booooooooooy

Directions: Spend 10 minutes writing a bizarre, yet plausible article. After 10 minutes, trade articles with the person above you in the class list in the sidebar. If the person is not here today, go to the next person up. Spend another 10 minutes revising the article. Don’t forget to check for grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors. Feel free to change whatever you want about the article content.

Well, here’s my progress so far. I was having some issues with coding, so I haven’t added a side bar yet. I also want to add some more content to the body, as well as a photo w/text wrap.

I initially started with Sang’s idea of “Gold Digger poses as House Keeper”, and made it more specific to Flava Flav’s butler Big Rick is actually in love with Flav. It was kind of a far stretch, but the show “Flavor of Love” is big on TV right now, so it could potentially draw some traffic. I will continue to make changes though this week and next.
